Writing Samples

Here are the writing samples of writing project from the English classes of my first semester in INTO Mason Graduate Pathway program:

  1. A writing sample from EAP 508 class – Literature Review

I chose this writing project because it is the biggest project in my English classes in my first semester. This literature review cites 10 sources that has the content Robotics and its development. I did this project as a part of my research project in EAP 508 class, which I presented orally as my final presentation to completely finish the EAP 508 course. It helps me in doing my research project for my future studies in Electrical Engineering Master of Science program. With this project, I become familiar with the journal articles and major organizations that are most likely helpful in doing my research project. I can help faculty members in researching and developing control and robotics systems in ECE Department at George Mason University. With my growing knowledge, I hope I can be of an assistance for the development of biologically-inspired robots, especially humanoid robots, at George Mason University.

  2. A writing sample from PROV 504 class – Plagiarism Research Paper

This writing project helps me to better understand about the plagiarism in United States, especially at George Mason University. Plagiarism is a forbidden thing to do, because it violates the human rights. In this case, this right is about the copyright works, which is very significant in United States. If plagiarism is done by students, they will get punished very badly. By doing this writing project, I practiced how to summarize and cite research paper written by scholars in my discipline’s style, which is the IEEE style. By doing this, I can improve myself in doing my research project for my future studies in my studies of Electrical Engineering MS. It also could help me doing my scholarly paper in my final semester, alongside with the research project. I always have to be cautious with plagiarism in doing my research paper, otherwise I will fail my studies, and I cannot even get my Master’s degree at George Mason University.
